If you’re looking for a traditionally romantic venue in the heart of New Jersey, the Cranbury Inn delivers the setting and the meal selections to make your dream come true. Built in the mid-1750s, the Cranbury Inn has been home to wedding ceremonies since the 1920s, when Judge Wincklhoffer was the innkeeper, as well as the local Justice of the Peace.

The great hall was rebuilt in 2005 into a timber-frame banquet hall that seats 200-plus people. It was designed to replace the big barn that was destroyed by fire in 1902. Your wedding and reception, set in The Cranbury Inn’s 18th Century ambiance, receive the high end of service with a server-to-guest ratio average of 1 to 12.

You, your guests and your videographer will relish the romantic setting, surrounded by a pine-paneled room boastfully displaying eight large windows and a plate rail with an eclectic collection of plates. Authentic colonial firearms are displayed around the room, intermingled with antique clocks, old lithographs and recently created oils and watercolors.

The Cranbury Inn was the recipient of the 2007 NJ Restaurant Association’s Tourism Diamond Award in association with the New Jersey Travel Industry Association. The award was due in part to the success of their opening cocktail party with butler-circulated hors d’oeuvres, a formal toast and champagne poured throughout dinner. All meals fall within the fine dining category in quality, preparation and proportion, unlike less refined banquet meals.
